Russell founded Altan Insights in 2020. The data and research company provided industry-leading analysis on the collectibles market and was widely cited by outlets such as Bloomberg, Axios, Business Insider, DailyMail, Yahoo, CLLCT, Crain’s, SI, Huddle Up, and Sports Collector’s Daily.

Prior to founding Altan Insights he spent a decade working with hedge funds and broker dealers while at Wall Street financial technology firms Bloomberg and REDI (acquired by Reuters). He is an avid collector, mostly of sports cards and sports memorabilia.
